HisarHestia is our theme and administration package for the HestiaCP control panel. 1.0 brought a light and a dark theme, a file manager skin and 13 read-only modules. The 1.1 series adds four new "centres" alongside the panel.
Four centres
Site Reliability Centre. For the domains registered in Hestia, DNS, HTTPS, the remaining life of the TLS certificate and response time are measured from the panel server, and an event is recorded when a state changes. Targets are not taken from the user but from the Hestia inventory; only public IP addresses are contacted and redirects are not followed.
WordPress Fleet Centre. An inventory of versions, plugins and themes of the WordPress installations on the server. Updates are previewed first; a fresh backup of the account is taken before anything is applied, and the update runs with fixed-argument commands. There are no arbitrary commands or paths.
Recovery and Repair. A web space or database is restored from a local Hestia backup, previewed and queued, with a fresh backup taken beforehand. The repair diagnostics only read: they check the required Hestia commands and the backup disk space and change nothing.
Mail Delivery Centre. MX, SPF, DMARC, DKIM, PTR and mail TLS measurements come together in a single score that explains why it is what it is. Third-party blocklist queries are off by default.
1.1.1: a maintenance release
1.1.1 is a maintenance release that makes those four centres more robust. A restore now works on a separate copy without changing the original backup file; an interrupted restore stops new writes on the same account until an administrator has reviewed it. Preparation, backup and verification share a common time budget, so a stuck DNS query or a slow HTTP response no longer holds up a measurement round.
What it does not do
Saying where a tool stops matters as much as saying what it does. HisarHestia 1.1:
- does not restore over production data on its own,
- does not create the target domain or database in Hestia for a WordPress clone,
- does not install or remove plugins or themes, and does not repair content,
- sends no queries to any third-party service by default.
Status
The package comes in seven interface languages (Turkish, English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian) under GPLv3. General download is not open yet; we will announce it on the product page when it is.
